The AMA+ Scholarship – Art Major Asian Plus Scholarship Program is an Official Development Assistance (ODA) Project initiated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the Republic of Korea. This program is designed to provide support to talented students in the arts from developing countries, enabling them to pursue advanced studies and enhance their skills at the Korea National University of Arts.
Objective of AMA+ Scholarship – Art Major Asian Plus Scholarship Program
The primary objective of AMA+ Scholarship is to foster international exchanges in education and cultivate mutual friendships among participating countries. Since its inception in 2005, the AMA+ Scholarship program has benefitted 340 students from 34 countries worldwide.
Many of these individuals are actively engaged in the fields of arts and culture, both locally and internationally, as well as pursuing higher arts education. The program encourages the attention and applications of young talents from AMA+ eligible countries, aspiring individuals who have the potential to lead in the realms of art and culture.

Admission Process of AMA+ Scholarship
1) February, 2024:
- Release of 2025 Application Guidelines.
2) March 21 – 31, 2024
- Online Application Submission.
- Application Link open from March 21 to March 31, midnight. All documents must be submitted within this period.
3) April 25, 2024
- Notification of Admission: Korean Language Test Schedule & Information Release.
4) May 3, 2024
- Korean Language Test.
- This test does not substitute TOPIK. Results are complementary to existing Korean proficiency proofs.
- Online test; individual date/time arrangements.
5) June, 2024
- Department Review & Interview (Optional).
6) June 28, 2024
- Notification of Final Grantees.
7) July, 2024
- Submission of Original Application Documents via post/in person.
8) End of August, 2024
- Entry to Korea.
9) September 2024 – February 2025
- Pre-Entry Korean Language Training.
